After a long period of silence for a number of reasons, the Black Movement Leaders (BML) team is excited for this new development. In past, sharing a website with another organization has led to confusion about this project belonging to any particular group.
However, its independent identity and collaboration across its founders, project leads and team members is a critical part of BML’s identity. Above all else, BML is about community, history, and lifting up voices.
This new website is a chance to breathe new life into the project, especially as we begin to publish oral histories.
However, please remember that this is and always has been a largely unfunded project. We’ve gotten this far primarily through donated time and money and other groups choosing to offer support where they could.
